Smaller-than-X1 BMW?

Just heard a report of an interesting sighting from somebody in the vicinity of Frankfurt.
He claims to have seen 'something like a Fiat Panda, badged a BMW'. But evidently not a Panda with a BMW badge.

Smaller than the X1 though. It was parked when he saw it, and several folks were looking at it. I am not clear how disguised it was, but this ...
